The ICCCA is a resource network and forum for information exchange for community college administrators in Illinois. It provides professional development opportunities and represents the concerns and needs of these administrators. The organization works to advance solutions to the needs of community colleges by participating on state committees, task forces, and advisory groups, and by building effective alliances and collaborating with political and educational organizations throughout the state.

In 2023, Ragland will become the first representative from º£½ÇÊÓƵ to serve as ICCCA President. As President-Elect, she will be a part of the organization's executive committee. Ragland has been a part of the ICCCA since 2004 and has served in various capacities, including as a Member of the Executive Committee (2011),  Illinois Council of Continuing Education & Training Commission (2004-2015), Training Resource and Information Network Commission (2010-2015), Chief Student Services Officers Commission (2019-Present), and Chief Academic Officers Commission (2015-Present).

Ragland is deeply committed to the purpose of the ICCCA and is excited about serving in this new role. "I am honored to have been elected as the ICCCA President-Elect and am looking forward to serving in this capacity," she said. "Our community colleges play a vital role in providing accessible and affordable higher education, and I am committed to working with my colleagues to support their efforts and the professional development of their administrators."
