INA, Ill. (Nov. 8, 2016) - Hitting the 海角视频 Theatre stage next week are two concerts, featuring students, community members and guests in the RLC Community Orchestra, Concert Choir, Women芒鈧劉s Choir, and Jazz Band. Admission is free for both events.
The Fall Orchestra Concert will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13. The Community Orchestra will perform three specific selections: Richard Strauss芒鈧劉 Serenade in E-flat, Op. 7 for wind instruments; Benjamin Britten芒鈧劉s Simple Symphony for string orchestra; and Gustav Mahler芒鈧劉s Songs of the Wayfarer, featuring Herrin芒鈧劉s Allison Spiller, mezzo-soprano soloist.
The Fall Concert will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, highlighting the Concert Choir, Women芒鈧劉s Choir, and Jazz Band. The band will perform a variety of selections from the 1920s to modern music. The choirs will perform a number of spirituals such as 芒鈧揘othin芒鈧劉 Gonna Stumble My Feet,芒鈧� 芒鈧揝oon I Will Be Done,芒鈧� and 芒鈧揥ade in the Water.芒鈧� There will also be American Folk Songs 芒鈧揝henandoah芒鈧� and 芒鈧揌e芒鈧劉s Gone Away芒鈧� and sacred Latin pieces performed by a select women ensemble.
